Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

If it still doesn't work then maybe upload your TGZ dump file into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then reply with a public download link? This might allow someone to add your disk to the KEYDB.cfg file.

Yup I have the latest keydb file, no valid key yet.
The dump file is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GdKVuH ... sp=sharing

Hmm, it look's like there's a Unit Key now (somehow??), but MakeMKV would need KEYDB.cfg to contain a VUK before it can decrypt the disk :(.

AnyDVD is working fine suprisingly with the unit key only

OK, that's lucky :). Would you also happen to have a LG UHD drive please? Maybe we could complete the KEYDB entry too?

I do have one but I believe it broke a few months ago, scratching one of my discs real bad as well. Actually it started having difficulty reading discs more than 2 years ago, maybe I'll get an ASUS someday as a backup drive :)

The LG drive would only need to read the disk enough to show it in Windows Explorer, and wouldn't need actually to rip it. Basically, start a MakeMKV encrypted disk back-up into a temporary directory, copy the discatt.dat file to a safe place as soon as it appears (which it should almost immediately), and then abort the back-up.

But obviously don't try this if your drive might scratch the disk!
