and no one can decrypt the disc

Thanks for letting me know. Your original disc dump had an incomplete verification data file. Could you please delete your original MKB20_v82_2046_8F66.tgz file, reboot your computer, and have MakeMKV generate a new disc dump file for your 2046 disc? Post the link to the alternative disc dump file when you get a chance.

The media key (MK) is definitely correct but the volume ID may be invalid and that would lead to an invalid unit key which prevents playback/decryption.

Thanks for recreating the disc dump file. It is interesting that there is still no verification data...

Could you please make a protected backup of the disc with MakeMKV? After you have made the protected backup, please upload any small M2TS file from the BDMV/STREAM path and post the link here. Don't just copy a small file directly off the disc in case bus encryption is still active.

If there is no suitably small M2TS file, you can copy the first 2-4MB of the largest file with a tool such as dd or HxD and upload that instead.

On the first screen of MakeMKV, click the icon of the yellow folder with the green arrow. Make sure the decrypt box is unchecked.

Alternatively, could you maybe install SamuriHL's utility and execute its "validate disc" function please? This should prove whether or not your disk's entry in KEYDB.cfg is correct.

And yet your 00006.m2ts file plays in my browser just fine, and so is clearly successfully decrypted...?

This goes back to what keydb_helper said about the validation data. There appears to be an issue with it. As long as FindVUK validated it, it's fine.

This file also plays successfully. If it's from your protected back-up then it sounds as if your disk isn't encrypted! (Bus-encrypted only!)
