movie jitters

Post by R!pn8URn385 »

So, after downloading the new makemkv file I can rip dvd's and bluray's, but not 4k movies. After the 4k movie is ripped I play the title to make sure it is the correct version. Now the movies are moving like they get stuck on every frame and the sound is off from the movie, but only on 4k. Should I re-download the old version, or is there a fix on the way. This is kind of frustrating since i have now scanned 85 movies out of my 385 movie collection. So i have a ways to go still lol

I will wait a few days to see who responds to this message to see if there is any patch or way to fix this that I just don't know about. Thanks in advance.

It has nothing to do with MakeMKV. It has to do with how you're playing them back. What are you using to play the UHD created MKVs?

I am using the mkv reel player. Ive been using everything mkv since i started ripping movies. So are you saying the player is faulty when it has worked fine previously. It even happens when i transfer it to my zidoo 8k player. So something is up somewhere.

Never heard of it. Clearly you've not been "playing everything" since you started ripping given you're having issues with uhd rips. What display are you playing them on? What is the refresh rate set to? There's so many variables to proper playback of 4k. It's not the same as playing 1080p. It's quite a bit more involved.
