Top GUn Maverick

Post by schlotkins »

Hi there:

I got the Top Gun Maverick 4k and I'm having trouble ripping it using MakeMKV. I get to the same place each time and it fails. Admittedly I haven't bought many newer discs lately, but I just tried Skyfall and the Martian and they are fine. I'm curious if it's the disc or other people have trouble with this name. In case it matter, here's what it says about my drive:

Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE WH16NS60
Revision: 1.02
Serial number: xxxxx
Firmware date: 2118-10-29 19:36
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 76

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 1.02
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

Thanks,
Chris

The first thing to alwasy try is clean the disc. It doesn't matter if it is brand new out of the box and looks pristine. They sometimes have invisible to the eye residue on them from manufacturing and cleaning them with a microfibre cloth often resolves ripping issues.
Cheers :D
