In my searches, I've seen refrences to an F9 or Fast 9 thread, but I'm unable to find it. Please post a link if it addresses my question.

I just ripped F&F 9 and it resulted in a total of 46 separate .mkv files. They are just numbered 00-45, with no indication of what each is. I went through them all and identified the special features and deleted some of the unneeded stuff (menus, warnings, etc...)

There are 2 large files that appear to be 2 versions of the full lenth file. One is 63Gigs with a run time of 02:29:55, and the other is 60.5Gigs with a run time of 02:22:52. The are 21 files that appear to be specific scenes or collection of scenes. In my searches I've seen references to audio drop outs with movies that have seamless scene integration. What I'm looking to get is the full lenth movie that plays well without any issues (duh!). I'd like to also have the Director's/Extended cut, as long as it's not susceptible to playback issues. Of course I also want DV and Atmos.

Does anyone know, are the 2 full length (63 and 60.5Gig) versions full features with the entire movie, or are they dependent on the other scene specific files? Basically I'm wondering if I can just keep those 2 files and dump the rest.

Based off the given information you provided it’s safe to assume those two large files are the film. The larger being the Director’s Cut.

That's kind of what I guessed.

I went through all of the files, just scanning through them with JRiver Media Center. Many of the smaller files were special features, several of which were duplicated with one being 2-4 seconds longer than the other. Not sure what the difference was between the two. They were both in English so I just deleted 1 copy and kept the other. After sorting out the special features asside from the two full length movie cuts, there are still 21 additional mkv files ranging from 2 minutes to 22.5 minutes in lenght. They are different scenes from the movie. What is the purpose of all of these scenes? Am I ok to get rid of them since I have the full theatrical and director's cuts?

Blackhawk Down is another one like this. There are full lenth Theactrical and Director's cuts, and thne there are 27 other files which are just different scenes from the movie. What is the purpose of all these additional files that are just different scenes?

This review says the 2:22:52 title is the theatrical cut and the 2:29:55 title is the director's cut. So just choose whichever one you want. (Or both!)
