Have you tried downloading the latest
KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

I have the same problem with Chinatown. I downloaded last night and still could not get it to run. It created a dump, I'm happy to post it to if that would be helpful.

Yes, I believe some here would find that file useful

I just emailed it to
svq@makemkv.com. Hopefully all that is all I need to do. I haven't done this before.

Updating the keydb.cfg didn't help with this title (I emailed a dump to svq a few days ago).
Initially running "FindVUK - Synchronize" didn't help with "Once Upon a Time in the West", but turns out that's because I had updated the batch file to also copy the result to MakeMKV's directory and hadn't noticed that when an update was automatically installed in Sept 2024 it reverted the changes I had made to the batch file.

You can use my new tool to keep the keydb updated and copied to MakeMKV. It'll also check your disc and see if it's in the keydb.

I had two new movies. Once upon a time in the west and Chinatown. Neither worked but I updated the keydb (1/16 version) and Once upon a time in the west worked but Chinatown still will not work.

The KEYDB is constantly updated. This is why I wrote my helper program to keep things updated and to also see if your title is in the KEYDB after you sync. Sync the KEYDB then put the disc in and press the Disc Info button and it'll show you if there's a key entry for your disc.
Posting a link or attaching the dump file MAY allow others to add the disc to the KEYDB.

Looks like someone added it to the KEYDB. You can use my tool to synchronize the KEYDB and copy it to the MakeMKV data directory:

Damn. Must have been after I downloaded it. I’ll do it again.
