I have emailed the .tgz file to svq@makemkv.com. I have manually added the KEYDB.cfg file to my username>Library>MakeMKV folder on my Mac. It looks like that KEYDB.cfg file contains the key to this specific disc, but isn't working.

I have successfully ripped/backed up several other UHDs before, so not sure why this one is giving me trouble. I cleaned the disc as well. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I just wait and trust that svq@makemkv.com will make some sort of an update in the next few days? Thank you in advance for your help!

Interesting. More help might be possible if someone here could examine your TGZ dump file. Could you attach it to a reply please? Or maybe upload it to (say) Google Drive or OneDrive, and then reply with a link?

That disc has an entry in the keydb so it definitely should be working with the keydb in the right location.

Unsure. You could try using XReveal and see if that works with the keydb to decrypt the disc. At least then you could open it with MakeMKV in theory.

As for the keydb.cfg file, you have to make sure you extract it from the zip file to the MakeMKV data directory, which is where the tgz files are created. Once you do that, restart MakeMKV and it should, in theory, work.

Hmmm... no, it does not. It does have an entry for Nat'l Lamp Vac 2023, but it must be a different version. I tried pasting that DiscID into my cfg file and restart MakeMKV, but it didn't make a difference. There is a chance I am not doing it correctly.

I had extracted the KEYDB.cfg file from the zip, and placed it in the correct directory. And unfortunately, it does not work.

XReveal appears to be only for PC, and I'm on a Mac.

Great news! Looks like there is a newer KEYDB.cfg file out there that now has the key. I replaced my file from yesterday, and now the disc is being read!!! Fingers crossed I don't run into any more snags, but at least now things look to be normal. Thank you all so much for all of your help!

Just for future reference the keydb is updated real-time throughout the day. It's constantly being updated. So downloading it once it's not going to be sufficient for newer titles.

That makes total sense. I've never needed to download it prior to this.

1) Going forward, should I delete the KEYDB.cfg from my MakeMKV folder (I don't believe it was in that folder prior to this mess)?

2)I have my preferences set to enable internet access, so will that cover me going forward if I do delete the KEYDB.cfg file?
