Newbie with UHD, every UHD failed

I wanted to put my UHDs on HD so that I can watch them better in my home cinema. I bought the drive from Pioneer (BD-RW BDR-UD04) with firmware 1.14. (see attachment)

With makemkv i should activate the "Enable Internet" button, which I did.

Unfortunately, with every UHD it gives me an error message saying that it cannot open the disc.
There is an internet connection, the check mark is set and I also stopped the virus protection once for testing purposes.

What can I do or what am I doing wrong? Please help a noob!

by the way: blu-ray ripping works fine

The error message says that it cannot decode the disk, and that it created a dump of the information about it. That implies that the disk was not in your database yet...

Enabling internet does not necessarily mean that your system was able to contact the server with the information. A lot of internet providers will block DNS inquiries for the host that provides the information, and some will block actually contacting them. Have you read the topic about this yet?

As an aside, have you also tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV? This could at least provide a "short term" solution.

I try to download it, but it sais - Site is not available (error 404). I try to find it, but i failed. I also thought that is a short solution for me, but i cant find the KEYDB.cfg somewhere :/

I got this exact same error, even using protonvpn with securecore and killswitch to multiple different countries.

Right click his link - saveas to your desktop as an html file.

Then when its saved, open it and then download the engilish pack the same way you downloaded this.

then unzip that file and drop it into the correct folder.
