I'm getting the The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted error for this disk even though I have the 7AA3 version as well. How can I double check my hash db is up to date? maybe that's the issue?

It sounds like this disk hasn't been added to MakeMKV's hashed keys yet, although it is already present in the latest KEYDB.cfg file. So download this file, copy it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restart MakeMKV.
