Thanks!

I did not see this in time but I submitted the same file as well. This "MKB20_v77_Civil_War_AEC4.tgz" file is the Amazon.com version of the disk. It looks like the non-Amazon version is different, apparently the Amazon version has one additional interview extra feature video.

This is why we ask people to include the name of the file submitted, so everyone can see which versions have been sent in already. There are at least a few for Civil War out there; it would be easier if they were all in a single topic.

I got the same tgz file and my copy came from Target.

I am now able to do it by manually adding KEYDB.cfg

I submitted the same dump file on the 9th and I still can't rip this thing. I see at least one person has been able to, but damned if I can find the KEYDB.cfg file on my Mac and even if I did, I have no idea how to manually update it.

In the past if I waited long enough and still had issues I'd just delete the _private_data.tar file, relaunch makeMKV and it would update and work. Not so much this go round.

Do these instructions help? The KEYDB.cfg file is an optional extra resource that you would download and install yourself alongside the _private_data.tar file.

YES! This helped. Since I'm on a Mac I downloaded the file from here (http://fvonline-db.bplaced.net), unzipped it into the data directory and I'm happily ripping away. Many thanks.

Hi,
Pretty sure I followed the instructions and placed the KEYDB.cfg file in my .MakeMKV folder, but still unable to decrypt. The KEYDB.cfg file is dated 6/26/24...is this the most recent?

Did you restart MakeMKV so it reads the file?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did reboot, but had only tried the keydb.cfg download link. After following directions to use findvuk, I got it sorted out :)
