Advice on 4K UHD

Post by oakey17 »

Hi all,

I've been reading through the forum, and I havent exactly found an answer to my problem. Anytime I try and copy a 4K UHD disk I get a "Failed to open disc". I have all the dump files from these failed runs. The regular blue ray counter parts work just fine no issues whatsoever. This is my first week working through this process any advice/feedback welcome as I've invested a significant amount of time reading through posts and online content. Another thing to mention is a couple of days ago I did submit 2 of these 4 dump files to svq@makemkv.com as well. Also View > General > Enable internet access (checked).

*I've tried attaching .tgz files to post but unable due to size.

Do not post your .TGZ files here; they get emailed to svq@makemkv.com for processing. Posting them here does nothing but tell others you received them. The boss needs to get them before they can be processed.
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
This is saying that your system is unable to download the key file anyway; it is possible they keys are available, but you cannot read them, yet.

There are several topics that discuss this, but one is pinned to the forum... hkdata.crabdance.com or hkdata.fairuse.org not found

Thanks for clarifying. It seems the host machine it was calling to was being blocked due to region so it couldn't pull that key. Reviewed FW logs and paused the rule and was able to move forward. Thanks!
