Are you also seeing the following?
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Downloading latest HK to C:\Users\xxxxxxxxx/.MakeMKV ...
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Fixing Volume Key is Unknown

I do not get the downloading latest HK message. I am on a Mac and wondering if it is blocking the download. It was a PITA installing as it really didn't want to let me. I do have Access Internet enabled in the settings.

Is this your 1st UHD attempt? Is your optical drive UHD capable/LibreDrive enabled? If in doubt, pls copy/paste/post the complete MakeMKV Info pane contents (upper, right).

no, I have ripped other UHD titles before. it is LibreDrive enabled - I can see it in the info section. This happened when I updated to the latest version on the Mac. Also now on Sonoma so don't know if that matters.

It doesn't seem to be downloading the last info to decrypt.

But it's also not reporting that it tried to and/or failed?
