Why do I need to keep flashing UHD disc drive?

I have a Buffalo BRUHD-PU3 that I'm using to rip UHD disc I've flashed firmware (several times) and everytime I restart my computer with out fail I have to flash it again to rip UHD discs now it seems to be worse as I literally just ripped a movie went to rip another one and couldn't flashed firmware again and now it's working fine why do I have to keep flashing it? Is it corrupt somehow? Is windows updating the firmware? WTF is going on

Post your drive info before and after a restart
And the error you get in makemkv after a restart
I'm 99% sure your drive is not Auto updating somehow
