Received copy of UHD disc, not working

Hello,
New to the forum but have been a longtime user. I recently was given a copy of a UHD disc, and upon trying to convert it to MKV I get this series of errors before the process fails:
The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00002.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 61759488, attempting to work around

Failed to save title 1 to file
The folder containing the BDMV package (I'm on a Mac) also has a MAKEMKV folder. The structure looks like this:

/
BDMV
/MakeMKV
-/AACS
/CMAP
discattd.dat

I've read elsewhere on here that you need the discattd.dat file but I'm not sure where it's supposed to go. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

First step is to: clean the disc with a damp lint free microfiber cloth and dry with another. Try to dump it again.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to either replace the disc, or replace the drive you use. The most recommended drives on the forums are: BU40N or UHD pioneer.

I thought I had clarified in the OP, but I see now my language was not clear. I do not have a physical copy of the disc. It is digital only. I take it I’m out of luck?

Your disk is being picked up because of discattd.dat, otherwise your system wouldn't have displayed all the "The source file ..." messages.

What it's saying is that the image itself has problems. The stream 00002.m2ts is not valid in many places. The copy didn't "do well" copying the file from the optical disk to the hard disk.

Darn. So I’ll have to see if I can get another backup of the disc done. Thanks for the info!
