The Lost Boys 4k Failed to Open Disc

Post by Virtualfryngpan »

I'm unable to rip "The Lost Boys" on 4K. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated.

MakeMKV v1.17.2 win(x64-release) started
Using LibreDrive mode (v06.3 id=866A98CB9C4E)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\toffe/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v76_The_Lost_Boys_6D95.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

MakeMKV says that "the volume key is unknown for this disc"?
MakeMKV produces an AACS .tgz dump file whenever you try to open a disc for which the key is unknown, and will report that the dump has been created. Email the dump file to svq@makemkv.com.

You could have a bad disc. I was able to rip mine (Amazon US) and here is how the discs mapped out: https://thediscdb.com/movie/the-lost-bo ... es/2022-4k
