Been trying to get this UHD disc to load properly for a couple of days now and even tried requesting new disc from Amazon in case the original was faulty but, there are problems with both.

The furthest I can get is that the disc eventually is recognised (e.g. disc title/ vol info, layers, ACS etc.) but when I then try to do the usual extract, it fails to fully read the disc structure/content tables and eventually fails with multiple READ FAILURE errors.

I know that this problem was previously on this board but just wondering if any other variation of this UHD (e.g. steelbook etc.) gives better results? I am trying to use the 'standard 4k UHD' as sold by Amazon here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01 ... UTF8&psc=1

I am using MakeMKV 1.17.1 with Asus BW-16D1HT drive with 3.10 patched firmware.........................which works brilliantly with almost everything else (except for Close Encounters of the Third Kind UHD.......which I have given up with now).

It's the disc or the drive no magic is going to happen sadly
These type of read errors on bluray are almost never a bug it's a hardware problem
The usual steps are
Clean disc
Replace disc
Clean drive not with cleaning disc open it and use alcohol.
Replace drive with BU40N or UHD pioneer

Thanks Billycar11................................dammit..............but at least I won't waste any more time on this now.

I successfully managed (well, MakeMKV has...) to rip Goodfellas UHD (ASIN B01MCUR3Q7) some months ago with LG BU40N.
