Initially the 4K disc had an unknown volume key. After sending the TGZ file over by email the next day I was able to open the disc. Only issue is that not all titles are showing to rip. Several have invalid mux or internal errors. The main one being the main feature itself being the largest file to check is missing.

You are not alone. I am having the same issues with the main feature not showing in the file list after scanning the disk with makemkv. I am getting the same mux and internal errors.

Looks like a BUG in h.265 HEVC parser. I need a portion of one file from this disc to debug. Please do the following:
- Make a decrypted full disc backup with MakeMKV.
- From the backup, I need a first 64 MB of a file called 00032.m2ts . Thre are several ways to cut first 64M of a file, depending on OS you're using.

Thanks a lot for the data. This is indeed a bug in MakeMKV h.265 engine. There is no workaround for now, the bug will be fixed in a next version.
Happens on VERY exotically encoded HEVC video, this is the only disc known so far.

Is there any ETA on a new version that fixes this? Similar behavior seems to appear on the German UHD disc of 'The Piano' - also from Studiocanal. Could be stemming from the same bug:

Same issue, same DISC. Any info about if this is fixable and when a fix will be implemented? I had this on one other DISC, but forgot what it was. Does not happen often, but is 100% reproducible for the german special edition of "Das Piano - The Piano [1993, Special Edition, UHD]".

@mike_admin: If you like, I can provide you with a digital copy of the DISC (about 60GB) for debug purposes. If you just need the first 64MB tell me how exactly you need me to do this on linux (Debian 11)

Given the right .m2ts file,

split -d -b 64M filename.m2ts filename.m2ts_

will do the trick. Just pick the first written chunk.

I've recently purchased the Australian release for this, and after sending through the SVQ file last week the disc decodes fine but I'm also having the invalid mux messages when opening the decrypted image in MakeMKV. How do I find which file to send the first 64MB of?

The latest new version v1.17.2 fixed the issue for me.

I was able to rip the 4K main title from the steelbook I imported from Amazon France.
