Red 2, 4k UHD I get the error on the movie but the extra features rip with no errors.

Edit: If it is not the disk or drive, what caused the error? My guess would be a new copy protection method or a setting I missed.

Do you have the logs from MakeMKV?

Most likely, the optical drive had difficulty reading the disc. I doubt you missed a setting and it is extremely unlikely to be a new copy protection method.

Gently clean the disc and try ripping again.
