Just received this today and surprise no can decrypt. This is the UK version unusually I did not get a tgz file but got a Private_data_Tar instead (twice) can I send this to Mike Thanks

Does the information window not show a path to the .tgz file? It will be created in your MakeMKV Data directory.

Sorry I don't know enough about computers and how MakeMkv works but read that the file I have and tgz are identical we'll see.

No, they're not. The _private_data.tar file is where MakeMKV stores information it uses between sessions, such as a copy of the hash key file, "stock" profiles, information for decoding BD+ encryption, etc.

The file that gets submitted will include the name of the disk in its name. In this case, it would probably be something like BLACK_WIDOW_ABCD.tgz

I'm also have issues with this disc and repeatedly get the following message:

The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
DEBUG: Code 0 at HE<hEO<!JUR7.k';:29396092
DEBUG: Code 0 at HE<hEO<!JUR7.k';:29395172
Failed to open disc

I've posted ed the associated TGZ file to Mike.

I can see the tgz file but can't find it if that makes . When it comes up saying can't be decrypted I see it then. But going to the make/Mkv folder I find the tar file. Anybody have any idea what's going on thanks

Just got my US BB Steelbook 4k version today. Decrypted without issue. Thanks!

I purchased the US Best Buy Standard UHD Blu Ray and cannot decrypt. Emailed dump to makemkv support.

BB Steelbook UHD arrived today and ripped without problem.

The 2 posters whose discs decrypted successfully were US versions mine is unfortunately UK.

Yep, my version is the UK release and wont rip.

I tried the disc in another drive and lo and behold i then got the file I required ie.tgz so sent to support and just have to wait

I am beginning to wonder why a major title like Black Widow is taking so long to be sorted out.
I also use dvd fab ripper and this has been decrypting Widow since Tuesday. Makemkv is still my preferred tool and having a membership also makes feel almost like a traitor but hey life's to short. Hopefully this will be working soon.

Still nothing and there seems to be a few others in the same boat. If we just had some idea what was happening,maybe on holiday who knows
