Ripping Flash Gordon (Again)

Post by arrbee99 »

Have been having trouble ripping the 4K Flash Gordon, bought in New Zealand if it matters. After trying and failing and getting lots of scsi errors, giving the disc a (gentle) clean, shutting the PC down completely and restarting, I tried unchecking the decrypt box and seem to have copied the whole thing to disc. Its about 70gig. Question now is, what do I do to try to decrypt the copy on disc (well SSD actually). What MakeMKV command do I use and what do I point it to in the copied folder ?

Didn't spot anything googling even though I guess the answer is really obvious (though not to me of course...)

Thanks very much.

After MakeMKV starts, do File -> Open files and point it at the file(s).

Thanks I tried that but you made me realise that I hadn't pointed MakeMKV to the discatt.dat file, which does seem to work.

Now I get to see what happens with the copy on disk not being decrypted...

...and that seems to have worked just fine. Thanks very much.
