Are you seeing any errors about not being able to retrieve the hash key file? Those titles have been ripped by others.

For e.g. for TENET, this is what I see when I tried just now
Using LibreDrive mode (v06.2 id=0FA242DD4D0B)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Downloading latest HK to C:\Users\nmryzen/.MakeMKV ...
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\xxxxxxxxx/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v76_Tenet_E37B.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

Code: Select all
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
You're not getting the keys after the submission.
Make sure you haven't disabled internet access (Preferences->General)
Make sure your DNS resolution is set to use at least one that doesn't block resolution of certain domains (Google's 8.8.4.4. and 8.8.8.8 work, Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 filters out domains they don't like, and a lot of ISP DNS servers are similarly filtered).
There's a long topic on this elsewhere. The hash key table is hosted on hkdata.fairuse.org . At a CMD prompt, type the following and see if you get an IP back:
The result should look like this:
Code: Select all
C:\>nslookup hkdata.fairuse.org
Server: UnKnown
Address: 192.168.4.10
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: hkdata.fairuse.org
Address: 91.224.23.225

I did make sure to check the 'enable internet access' option

I have changed it to 8.8.8.8 and flushed the DNS Cache on my PC
It has responded as below
Code: Select all
Server: localdomain
Address: 192.168.1.1
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: hkdata.fairuse.org
Address: 91.224.23.225
I am sorry but no luck still ! ..

The other likely candidate is "region blocking" by your firewall. That IP is hosted in Russia, so that may be an issue with how your system is configured.
This site is also hosted in Russia, but everyone accesses it through a Cloudflare IP that isn't.

Hi! I am having the same problem as troglodyte, except that the hashes I submitted ("Flash Gordon - 40th Anniversary" 4K standard edition and "Alita - Battle Angel" 4K) on 1st March 2021 do not seem to have been processed. I checked that I could access the sites "makemkv.com" and "hkdata.fairuse.org." I have selected the "Enable Internet Access" option and am not getting the "Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed" error. I have changed my DNS to use Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4).
Everything seems to be setup correctly from my perspective - can anyone help, please?

I never found a solution to being unable to rip 4K discs with my Windows XP setup, so I tried a workaround. I created an Ubuntu live disc, installed the MakeMKV snap package on it and managed to rip my two 4K discs ("Flash Gordon - 40th Anniversary" and "Alita - Battle Angel"). Using the same machine and network settings, the rip succeeded without a hitch. Hmmm. All's well that ends well.
