ASUS BW16DHT and Hobbit 4k?

Hello,
I recently bought a BluRay Drive and the Hobbit and LotR 4k BluRay (German Versions) since I am a huge fan, allready owned the old BluRays but since I sold my PS4 and haven't got a PS5 yet I wanted to watch those Discs on my PC (If only I had known...).
At first I was a complete noob and was wondering why my Drive didn't read the stupid discs at all, I expected that I just need to buy some software and done.
After a while of googling I found out that MakeMKV is basicly the only way to playback UHD BluRays on PC, so I bought. I allready flashed the firmware of my drive but
I refuses to read the discs 99% of the time, I managed to watch the first Hobbit (Extended) after about an hour of Trying and wanted to watch the second one just now, but still no luck, I git the disc to get regnorized in "My PC" about three times but as soon as I try to watch it throu MPC-HC or even rip it, it fails to read again?
Is the ASUS drive just bananas? Do I need another drive? Can't really belive that my discs are the issue, they are brand new out of the box.
I'd love if someone could help me troubleshoot this, or at least tell me that it's just normal that the german version of Hobbit and LotR 4k are just a terrible experience to read.
