I have not been able to convert this UHD disk to mkv. I have the 4k and 3D version of the disk. My plan is to rip both versions to MKV and then remux to get the Atmos audio from the 4k disk into the 3D mkv.

I have tried twice and both times it failed. Let me know what you need me to post to get it fixed.

There are a large number of things in what you described which could be said, "it failed". Narrowing it down to WHAT failed would be helpful.

Here is a screenshot of when I tried to backup the whole disk. I will try making the MKV again also as I don't remember what the error stated.

Well, you have a few sections of 00055.m2ts that need to be read multiple times to come up valid, which usually indicates the disk is dirty. Have you tried cleaning it?

Hi - yes - I cleaned it, and it is brand new, first time out of the package. There are no marks on it. I haven’t tried playing the disk to see if there are any playback issues. It does ultimately create the MKV. I haven’t watched it yet, but according to the timestamp when I play it on my PC the whole movie is there.

I bought my version of the live action directly from a used video store locally in my town and i was able to get my verson to work,i must have been lucky because i got a good clean copy.i kept my receipt because i remember having problems like this with my cards 4k disc i had to order 3 seperate discs before i got a working copy.

i was able to get my copy ripped. Now i'm worried it might not play back properly. Anyone watch their copy? any issues?
