Billy Lynn and Black Hawk Down - Tripple Layer Issue?

Hi There,
I found myself with a ASUS-16D1HT. It came with the 3.10 FW which I downgraded with the tips here to 3.02, successfully.
Now I ripped several UHDs successfully but am still failing with these two which I found a bunch of similar entries in the forum.
Billy Lynn (German)
Black Hawk Down (UK)
When inserting the disks they sometimes get recognized, sometimes not. Even if they are recognized neither ripping with MakeMKV nor DVDFab is working. it always starts but then fails with read errors or with the Programm reporting like "No Disk in the drive".
I noticed both are around 90GB in size, so should be tripple layer UHD disks.
Is this a general issue with the Asus drive, and some other would be suited better for this?
