Hi, when I load this disc MakeMKV lists three files, two of which are showing as exactly 57.0 GB in size.

The only difference between these two is that one shows 15 chapters and the other one doesn't show anything. Does it make any difference which one I select?

The other one shows as one chapter at 10000 MB, so irrelevant.

My choices:
A Quiet Place - 15 chapter(s), 57.0 GB
A Quiet Place , 57.0 GB

When you highlight the titles in the left window, what does the Info window show for the filename?

It is likely that the first is a mpls file (play list) while the other is an m2ts file (raw video information). There may be differences in the audio/subtitle choices between them.

For the file with one chapter, it shows:

File name: A Quiet Place_t02.mkv

I take it the second one is the main movie?

Actually, the first is the "whole movie", as it would be played, the second contains the major parts. The mpls file combines the information in the m2ts file with other data on the disk to "make the movie". You could use the m2ts file as-is, but it won't have chapters to switch forward/back.
