My drive can't read or even open Alien 40th Anniversary 4k. I'm using a LG BH16NS55 which is running the 1.02 firmware. It won't even recognise the disc and just revs up and down until it eventually says no disc. I've encoutered this before once when trying to read an UHD disc before downgrading the firmware. This is weird since I've used this drive to rip UHD discs before and never had any issues like this (except for the one time I've mentioned, which was before downgrading). It doesn't even create a dump file since the disc is not recognised at all.

I had this happen on 2 of the UHD movies out of the 50+ I own. It was explained to me that sometimes there are manufacturing issues with disks. Bad press or mastering issue ect. If it's not too late, return the movie to the retailer and tell them you want to exchange it for the same thing since you couldn't "play it".
