I have a couple of 4K UHDs that aren't able to rip (Venom and First Man). When I run MakeMKV, it says an access is denied error occurred and gives me a file path to a tgz file in my MakeMKV directory but the file isn't there.

I'm not seeing any form of dump so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be reporting when needing additional access keys to be added to the keys_hashed file.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Dumps , etc. are written to the MakeMKV data directory (defined on the 'General' prefs tab... the default is '%USERPROFILE%\.MakeMKV'). Based on what you describe, it sounds like you MAY have changed this to a location which the user does NOT have write permissions to. That would be the 1st thing to check. DO NOT set this location to the MakeMKV program directory, as it will be wiped out with each program update.

Oh thanks! That seems to have solved it. It was incorrectly set to the program directory. After moving it elsewhere, the two previously mentioned 4K UHDs seem to open and rip
