Avengers and Infinity War ripped fine but Ultron UHD keeps failing about halfway:

MakeMKV v1.12.3 win(x64-release) started

Did you "see http://www.makemkv.com/errors/read/"? Pretty self-explanatory. A high incidence of bad UHD discs have been reported, requiring replacement. But before you go through the hassle of replacing it, try cleaning the disc.

Yes, sorry I should have specified that I (as I always do) cleaned the disc with a little rubbing alcohol and a microfiber towel. Hadn't run into this particular error before and the hits for it were all over the map. Since this release is brand new I wasn't sure if there was something funky about its layer change or something.

You might consider going back to v1.12.2. Some have reported problems with the new version. Might be worth a shot. As for me, the latest version has been working great but not for some others.

I've been trying to backup infinity war for 18 hours now. I've swapped out drives six times, tried multiple versions of drive firmware, not to mention the 3 copies of the UHD blu ray I have now. I'm going to an alternate backup program to rule out makemkv as the source of the issue. So help me God this MCU shit sucks harder and harder with every release.

I just finished watching Infinity War. Will try backing up Avengers, Age of Ultron, and Infinity War soon. Should be entertaining. LOL

I had no trouble with infinity war, and avengers was fine except for one read error which doesn’t seem to be affecting playback on my oppo. But I gave up on upfront and returned it. Have another one arriving Thursday (it’s not in stores here)

OK, nailed Ultron on the second try after soaking it in a bowl of water and dish soap for an hour.

might as well be, it's what i'll end up trying next i'm actually running out of combinations to try now, i have 4 asus, 2 lgs, at least one of each is flashed, the others non flashed, 3 copies of infinity war from 3 different retailers, i'm building a second Windows PC now. I tried AnyDVD just for shits and gigles, it failed as well. I've had some tough runs but this is getting re fucking diculous. I'm ready to take all this 4K UHD bullshit and throw it right the fuck in the yard and light it on fire.

There have been a few discs where I just gave up and accepted a few errors and they haven't seemed to adversely affect playback that I've been able to detect.

I was never able to get through Into Darkness or Ultron - both of those are going back and I'll try replacements.

A few I've had trouble with worked with deUHD. I also tried anydvd with Ultron to no avail.

My offer from earlier still stands.

Did all the Star Treks no problem.

Thor Ragnarok and Revanent took a year.
Planet Earth II disc 2 forget it.

Yet not a single 1080 Blu Ray has an issue.
It’s this multi layer packed to the gills with data discs that are as finicky as fuck.

If I ever do get this thing ripped I’m going to put the disc through a wood chipper and send the pieces back to Disney.

Infinity War is a big sucker isn't it. I was able to rip that one no problem. I'm going to work on Age of Ultron next as it's on my list for watching tonight.

I finished building a new PC around 2am and put it to bed. Opened up another Best Buy steelbook at 6am, hit it with foaming glass cleaner and I’ll be damned if this son of a bitch isn’t on its way to backup 100%.

Yea all of mine are best buy steelbooks. Age of Ultron seemed to rip fine, as well. Guess I'll jump on Avengers next. Still mad they didn't put DV on these.....
