Warum habe ich keine Menüs und Untertitel?
Warum habe ich keine Menüs und Untertitel?
Hallo!

If my translation is correct, what you're talking about is called Forced Subtitles. There are several threads on this topic worth reading.
Subtitles for Dummies, or At Least Newbies
Again, selection of languages?
How do you make Subtitles selectable during playback?
I have only ripped the English tracks on my copy of Black Adam, but I have two subtitle tracks. The normal one and the one that just contains the forced subtitles.

Thanks for the links, I will work through them.
Then the only question that remains is why I don't have any menus at the beginning of the movie. Is it because of the following log entry :

I have now figured out how to select subtitles and foreign languages, but I still don't have a start menu and my file order is arbitrary.
When I select the folder in VLC, it starts with the first file in it and that is the credits for the test bluray “Black Adam”.
How can I get the files to be saved in such a way that, when the folder is called up, the movie starts as if it were a DVD/Bluray/UHD in the player?
When I make a backup, I first have to rummage through the folders until I find the corresponding files with which the movie starts.
It should preferably be a file that contains all the data and is handled as if it were a DVD/Bluray/UHD. So that it is also easy to use for others.
At the moment I have 38 files with an unclear sorting. - which doesn't make things any easier.

MKV files do not support Blu-ray style menus. The MKV files you produced with MakeMKV are media files with no interactive functionality.Lehmeier wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 12:16 pmI have now figured out how to select subtitles and foreign languages, but I still don't have a start menu and my file order is arbitrary.

If you would like to retain the menus of your disc, you can instead use MakeMKV to create a decrypted backup of your disc. This will create a folder structure which VLC can play with the original menus.
This is a pity, because I have no menu structure even with a backup and the VLC player does not start the movie even if I select the folder containing the folders BDMV, CERTIFICATE and Makemkv, for example.
Otherwise a backup would be exactly what I wanted, a folder that can be played with any player and contains everything that the DVD, Bluray, UHD contains.

JRiver MC has the ability to play a folder backup with full menus.
Sorry, but I can't get the .mkv's to play.
