HDR issue with Fast X UHD

I've ripped and played HDR 4K UHD discs before with Windows 10 and Kodi. However, I recently purchased Fast X, ripped it and the playback was just wrong - the picture was way too dark. I went into the Kodi settings to turn off HDR and the rip then played fine in terms of picture quality but clearly without the colour range.

I'm not sure if this is a rip issue or a Kodi issue. Open to suggestions on how I can try to determine which.

Never mind ... the problem seems to have resolved itself somehow. Grrr ... I do not like it when that happens.
