Convert manually file backup into encrypted MakeMKV backup

Post by langruh » Thu May 12, 2022 4:10 pm

Hello,

i tried to rip an UHD 4K Disc but i got only several error messages.

Then i found this link:
http://www.makemkv.com/errors/read/

And as told in the last paragraph, i saved all files manually to HDD without any errors.
Now i look for the simple way to ".... convert such copy into encrypted MakeMKV backup that can be opened by MakeMKV later. See our forum for details."

I searched a long time but found no way to convert the copied files into encrypted MakeMKV backup that can be opened by MakeMKV later.

Am i wrong with understanding the last paragraph from the website above?

Make the backed up files and folders into an iso. Mount the iso. Then you can run MakeMkv against the mount to create decrypted backup.

Thank you for the advice.

I took ImgBurn and after that MakeMKV could rip the 4K film.

Thank you very much.
