Presence of "chromaloc 2" effect Dolby Vision Profile Level

I have been reencoding DV content for a while now using MakeMKV. I have previously ran the ripped mkv through ffmpeg to compress the fule sizes and using MKVToolNix to add back in the DV track and then recreate the MKV using MakeMKV. Everything works fine and I get a resulting mkv with both HDR and DV.

My steps are:

MakeMKV - Produce a MKV of the movie
FFmpeg - Reencode file preserving HDR10 metadata
MKVToolNix - Add DV track back into mkv
MakeMKV - Remux to profile 7 DV enabled mkv

The result being a compressed mkv with the DV layer still intact.

Handbrake recently make a upgrade to use a 10bit pipeline and HDR metadata passthrough so I said I'd give it a go. Out of the box it encodes fine without the need to specify the master-display parameters (handbrake now analyses the file and extract the correct values).

So here is the quirk I noticed:

If you do not supply "chromaloc=2" in the advanced options, when I add back the DV layer and remux using MakeMKV I end up with Dolby Vision Profile 4 (dvhe.04.06). Below is the media info:

Now if I simply add "chromaloc=2" into the advanced options I get the correct result at the end. Dolby Vison Profile 7 (dvhe.07.06). Is this expected behaviour? From a playback point of view everything still seems to work fine.
