Hobbit Part 3 Extended Failure

Greetings all,

I was able to rip parts 1 & 2 without issue, but part 3 fails around 9G. I've tried ripping the first two options, but both fail in the same way. makeMKV starts spitting out debug errors. The drive is a new LG BU40N and I've successfully ripped half a dozen other UHDs without issue.

I've attached the log, if it helps.

Those SCSI errors within the log are concerning, but I was able to rip Underworld UHD with no problems, so I'm back to wondering about that disc. Can a disc cause such errors?

This error from your log:

002003:0000 Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00014.m2ts' at offset '10944509952'

means that the drive was unable to correctly read the disc. The standard answer here is to gently clean the disc and try again.
