Trying to create an MKV from Kick-Ass 4K BD

#1 Post by dorgan » Sat Jan 20, 2018 6:53 pm

I am trying to create an MKV from the Kick-Ass 4K BD. But I am getting error. I know the drive detects the disc and should be able to read it. I also have the latest keydb.cfg in place in the MakeMKV config directoy, which I cna see clearly has multiple entries for Kick-Ass.

Someone tell me what I am doing wrong, or if I have missed something.

There are many different versions of each movie released. It's likely it just isn't one of the ones in the file. You will also want to switch to the new hashed keys method as this is being updated with many more titles.

Download the latest hashed keys file here: http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16959

Put the hashed keys file in your MakeMKV data directory (as per Preferences) - not the same as the program directory.

If it still doesn't work, then submit the AACS dump that MakeMKV creates and mentions in the console log as shown in your screenshot to svq@makemkv.com and it will be supported in a future hashed keys update.
Using: ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.00
