Did you also email this file to svq@makemkv.com so it can be processed?

OMG, Truman Show got a 4K release? And it's out since 2013? How did I miss this?

They even fixed the notoriously stretched aspected ratio that plagued the old Blu-ray release, from what I see on https://caps-a-holic.com/

I think the 4K release was in 2023, not 2013.

Sadly, it seems the blu-ray that comes with the 4K release is the same old, terrible blu-ray.

Sorry, that was a typo, yes, 2023. Still, I can't believe I missed it.

Personally I only care about the 4K, but that's actually insane. They worked on a new release and didn't think to just downscale it to 1080p? Weird.

I have come to assume that inside movie studios, music studios, and other creative companies, they seek out and employ accountants and lawyers that secretly hate the medium they work in. This way someone can make a 'rational' business decision. If it was just people who loved movies with excellent presentation, all the companies would go bankrupt by spending millions to make old catalog titles look as good as possible. :)
