Thanks, was just coming to post mine.
Re: Dumps Submitted for Seinfeld 4K/UHD Seasons 6-9
It was posted in the other thread but all discs are currently in KEYDB.
Re: Dumps Submitted for Seinfeld 4K/UHD Seasons 6-9
I'm not quite sure what this means. Does this mean that Seasons 6-9 should be able to decrypt in MakeMKV or that they are just on the list to be added?Toad King wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 8:06 pmIt was posted in the other thread but all discs are currently in KEYDB.
For me 6-9 still do not decrypt.
Thanks
Re: Dumps Submitted for Seinfeld 4K/UHD Seasons 6-9
It means they were added to the publicly available keydb.cfg file that you can download from the link, extract the keydb.cfg file from the archive, and copy it to your MakeMKV folder where your tgz dumps are created. Restart MakeMKV and you'll be good to go.

Thanks! That did the trick.SamuriHL wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 4:19 pmIt means they were added to the publicly available keydb.cfg file that you can download from the link, extract the keydb.cfg file from the archive, and copy it to your MakeMKV folder where your tgz dumps are created. Having trouble with Season 7 Disc 2 even after updating to the latest keydb file- anyone else having this issue? Attached my version of the S7D2 tgz-

DiscID: 0xF4AA456461690E17D33A89F02B54F17C281F6433
That disc is most definitely in the keydb.cfg. Maybe re-download it and make sure it's extracted before copying it to the MakeMKV folder that your tgz files are created in.

Agreed- I see the discID in there too which is bizarre. Definitely have the unzipped .cfg sitting in the Library>MakeMKV folder as well. All other discs work without issue, including S7D1 & 3 and S8 D1 & 2 as well (still working on the remainder).
Also tried re-installing MakeMKV but no luck there either. Could this be caused by some other issue with my particular disc? Haven't run into this issue before with other rips so unsure how to best troubleshoot.

What is the exact error message you are seeing when trying to backup S7D2? Is it a decryption error or a read error?tk4207 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 11:30 pmAgreed- I see the discID in there too which is bizarre. I also could not decrypt S7 D2 or S9 D3. I believe there was one or more discs in S8 as well. Unfortunately I am not in a position to give specifics right now but can later this evening.
Re: Dumps Submitted for Seinfeld 4K/UHD Seasons 6-9
I'll be damned; tried it again (4th time) after finished the rest of the discs, and sure enough it worked! Was originally giving me a decryption error- no changes between tries, not even a restart, just worked out of the blue.keydb_helper wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 10:39 amWhat is the exact error message you are seeing when trying to backup S7D2? Thanks for your help, and apologies for the trouble!

This does work, but I am noticing that I have to add the keydb.cfg in the C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\.MakeMKV folder each and every time I scan an new disc. Is this normal?SamuriHL wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 4:19 pmIt means they were added to the publicly available keydb.cfg file that you can download from the link, extract the keydb.cfg file from the archive, and copy it to your MakeMKV folder where your tgz dumps are created. Once MakeMKV loads, the file seems to be absorbed or deleted.
Re: Dumps Submitted for Seinfeld 4K/UHD Seasons 6-9
Is that your defined MakeMKV user directory? It is generally considered a temporary directory, which is why it is emptied out.
Your MakeMKV data directory (where the file should go) is defined in Preferences->General, MakeMKV data directory. This is where you should place the keydb.cfg file.
