Noelle 4k disk won't open

I get the "Disk won't open" error when I try to open the Noelle 4k Collector's Edition disk. It's a disney disk, so I'm not sure if there is some weird protection that MakeMKV won't unravel or what. Any suggestions?

Do not see "Disk won't open" as an error message for MakeMKV, so... Where are you seeing it? What other errors are you seeing?

Disney doesn't use a lot of copy protection.

so here's the sequence I went through.
1. When I plug the disk in, nothing is recognized
2. I can use the file > open files to bring up the content of the disk. In this case, I went into the BDMV folder and opened the index.bdmv file.
3. MakeMKV says that it looks like you are trying to open a root folder and that videos should be opened with the "open disk" command instead. It then gives the option of opening the corresponding disk..
4. The failed to open disk error is given by MakeMKV

I have screenshots, but I'm not able to attach them due to size restrictions, apparently, even though they are less than 60kb in most cases.

Have you tried gently cleaning the disc?

Yah, I did. The first thing I always do is to look at the disk for flaws and gently clean. Unfortunately, that did not work.
