Did you also email the dump file to svq@makemkv.com?

Not yet...I thought maybe keydbhelper or even SamuriHL could help me find a key. I can also send the dump back to Mike...

I don't do anything with keys myself but others will likely pick up your dump if it was created with an LG drive. My tool is for syncing the keydb to MakeMKV using FindVUK under the covers.

looks like someone already added that one to the keydb.

Code: Select all

disc id: 0x6885CCB0CD0CF7741AB4AA4D2C23B1BEA45C54CE
Use my tool to sync the keydb and MakeMKV will be able to open it.

@SamuriHL: Many thanks for your Disc-ID
I have your tool and tried it with your DiscID... makemkv runs and decrypts the movie...
Great, and thanks for your help in this case ;-)

I wasn't the one to add this to the keydb. Someone else grabbed your dump before I got to it. All I did was get the disc id from your dump and checked that it was in the keydb. My tool has a search function for that very reason. Better yet the disc info button will tell you all kinds of fun things about your disc including the status of it in the keydb. Remember to always use the synchronize button before doing disc info or search to ensure you're looking at the latest keydb.

Guess I will have to turn my ripping machine into a Windows machine. Have you tested your tool on Win11?

Is libredrive enabled for your drive? You might need to reboot your drive (perhaps PC too!). When you start to rip the disc, ensure you see using libredrive mode in the log window.
Cheers :D

Then the drive might be having trouble reading that particular disc. This can also cause the drive to run out of juice. Have you tried cleaning the disc? If not, do so before attempting to rip it again.
