Rogue One Not Ripping

I'm having an issue with the UHD disc on Rogue One. I get close to getting any title, and then it fails, and my drive just goes nuts trying to finish, like it's got scratches on the bottom surface, but the disc is brand spanking new and been in my possession less than 24 hours. Any thoughts on this issue, or is there more information needed?

What does the MakeMKV log say?

Have you tried gently cleaning the disc? Sometimes even brand-new just-out-of-the-package discs need to be cleaned.

I don't have a log. It just keeps trying to read, and I let it sit for two hours and it didn't finish. I did clean the disc, but that didn't help. I will have to try to rerun and let it try to finish and see if it fails and logs.

Turns out--bad disc. Got another copy and it worked fine. Someone's going back to the store.... Thanks for the suggestions!

There must be a LOT of bad discs out there and I keep losing the lottery. I've tried 3 distinct copies, each new & sealed, each tried raw (only removing little bits of dust or case plasticizer smudge), and the latest ones tried by cleaning with isopropyl and then warm soapy water, dried thoroughly, de-linted, and spun again. No joy. The post-clean ones do better than the pre-clean ones (only failing hash checks on 2 of the major files instead of 4) but no matter what I do, I keep getting bad pressings... or my BU40N 1.03 drive just hates however they pressed this.
