Mkv cannot open some UHD disks.

I purchased the MD-8107S-U3 external burner. I tried to make a backup copy of some UD BDs I own but mkv was unable to open the disc. Where am I doing wrong?

You've provided very little to go on. See link below for recommended FW.

If it's only some UHD discs, are you:

- allowing MakeMKV to contact servers for latest HK/SVQ updates (General preferences tab)?
- submitting dumps to svq@makemkv.com & waiting a few days for keys to become available?

Posting a log from a failed UHD rip would be helpful.

I have not seen that error but are you opening makemkv as administrator? I don't know if that will solve the problem but hopefully it does

thanks for the replies. The problem was the firmware of the MD-8107S-U3 external bluray player. I downgraded the firmware (as shown above) to version 1.0 and now I read all UHD disks.
