Are you saying that the Oppo-203 (or clone) will work in TV-Led mode with LG C1?
of course, it will work. But we are not talking about the L1 bug with cmv 2.9 hdmi input if that's what you think.

@Chros and I were talking about another bug with the x700/x800m2/shield when connected to an LLDV TV (player-led).

so many DV bugs that it's hard to follow

Oh shoot, OK. That explains my confusion. I thought we were discussing the L1 bug, dang it.

I hope the commercialization of microled tv with 10000 nit brightness is fast tracked. No more of this tonemapping shit like dolby vision is needed.

Wow. Other than screen burn-in issues, I wonder if such bright displays could raise worryings about the eyes themselves. Nowadays tv's with "proper" footage already comes close to hurting them.

Yeah 10000 nits will be probably too much, unless if it is for watching outside in daylight. 1000 nits full screen in dim watching environment is already like a flashbang in the face (speaking from experience). Maybe creators should stop mastering contents at 10000 nits.

sure 10 000nits is bright but it's nothing compared to real-life highlights.
I think grading at 10 000nits(or maybe at least 4000) is a good idea as long as you also do the DV trim passes for low-nits TVs.
Because you can keep the highest dynamic range possible and your grade is future-proof for when there are brighter TVs. (eg no need to re-grade the movie in 10 years when all the TVs are 4000nits capable)

I asked before but don't think I got a reply:

When using the scripts: Any ideas on how to fix when I get weird audio sync issues when making profile 5 to 8 hybrids? It happens often with WEB-DL films, less often with WEB-DL TV. They have the EXACT same duration.

With MKVToolnix audio sync is crazily wrong.

Seems like muxing to TS works, but TrueHD is still slightly out of sync for some reason, while DTS-HD MA and AC-3 seems in sync.

Anything I should try? This happens on a lot of files.

You can try setting video properties "Default duration/FPs" to the proper value before mux. Saved me couple of times.

I got the Sony X800m2 and spent some time comparing it to the Sony X700. And yes, there are some picture quality improvements: finer gradation, less image noice, slightly richer colors. It also preserves the film grain better than the X700. In my book it is well worth the price difference, not to mention the superior build quality of the X800m2 and the much better remote.

I bet the problematic files are AppleTV/itunes web-dl. They all have FPS headers issue and if you inject DV into an itunes HDR10 web-dl and dont specify the input FPS in mkvtoolnix, it will change to 25fps. In mp4muxer it will change to 29fps. Tsmuxer doesnt have this problem because by default, it set the fps to 23.976 when the stream doesnt contain fps information.

Thanks to you both, that did it.

Using mediainfo I gathered the correct FPS and added it in MKVToolnix to the default duration/FPS "23.976" (make sure you do this to ALL tracks by selecting them all first), didn't need to check the "fix bitstream timing info" box.

I thought "Default duration/FPS" could only be set for a videotrack?

Hello everybody I have started to rip my UHD Discs again just so that i can use them with the dolby vision and atmos and this is very easy now with the last update of MakMkv 1.16.5 the file shows up on my server through the plex app as 4K DoVi/HDR10 (HEVC Main 10) so it rips both off the disc and I can play them on my Panasonic OLED in Dolby Vision and on my Panasonic Led in HDR so this is great and no messing about converting it to MP4 regards Bluraymonster

After having decrypted your post, maybe you'd like to use proper sentences and latest MakeMKV version 1.17.1.
