I thought Oppo suffered from a lock-up when playing two DV ts files sequentially, or has this been fixed meanwhile? Anyways, did you try latest nightly build of tsMuxer?
https://github.com/justdan96/tsMuxer/releases

To my knowledge tsMuxer can't de-interleave BL and EL from a single videotrack - as used in mkv. It can demux/remux them from/to separate videotracks.

Hey I have that too with p5 or p8 mp4. You can just drag and drop the file into mkvtoolnix and remux to mkv. It will play without stutters and the dolby vision will be kept. I usually playback those with just Player or vimu. Mkv work a lot better than mp4
TVs dont support DV MKVs.
Where do you get that from? You can easily play with Vimu apk or Just player. Dolby Vision and Atmos will be triggered, even the notification appears and there‘s a clearly difference to normal HDR

I am using an LG C9 and do not have an external player. The LG C9 as far as we all know, only plays mp4s ts and m2ts files that are DV.

I have Philips 65OLED934 from 2019 and can play dv mkv through plex or vimu without any external player.

Hmmm Which option would I select from your .bat going from bdmv, or even mkv dv that's already dv, to a dv format the lg c9 can handle?
from BDMV: Mode P7 (3) ---> Mode 1 (1) ---> Workflow 1 (1)
from MKV P7: Mode P7 (3) ---> Mode 2 (2) ---> Workflow 2 (2)

then tsmuxer nightly to mux the output files. There are also the same workflows in the mp4muxer modes.

Ok, got you. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hey, has anyone had any problems to get to play Spider-Man No Way Home DV P7 Framestor Remux in the Sony X700?
I converted the mkv to m2ts using latest nightly tsmuxer but the player freezes and shows a black screen, nothing ever plays.
Is there something I may be doing wrong? Thanks.

Normal... all the MEL 2mbps movies muxed in ST-DL wont work on the x700/x800m2 ( some fel movie as well).
If you demux and remux to DT-DL, it will work. You can also convert it to profile 8 since its a mel movie, you wont lose any quality.

Anybody knows if or what is wrong with titles that carry a 2mbps MEL? Figuring that MEL is just a placeholder for RPU, I wonder what other crap is stored within to make up for this high bitrate. I'm comparing to other titles with MEL going @ 60 - 90 kbps.

I would like to know that as well... We should ask Stacey Spears since they used a 2mbps bitrate on the MEL version of their montage.

As far as I know, the difference is how the EL stream is encoded.
2mbps is a regular encode of a static grey image, while the lowest bitrate ones are simply zeroed out, resulting in a green output when decoded.

You can simply look at the bitstream and see a bunch of zeros in slices.
Regardless of method, the final output should be the same.

@ RESET_9999
Does Sony X800M2 play profile 8 MKV? I thought it couldn't play DV MKV at all.

No, only TS/M2TS/MP4

Thanks so much, got it working. Regarding your scripts, which would be the options/steps to follow?

SL P8:
MODE.P7 ---> MODE.2 (p7 ST-DL to p8) ---> Workflow.4 (P7 ST-DL to P8)

or

DT-DL P7:
MODE.P7 ---> MODE.3 (p7 ST-DL to DT-DL) ---> Workflow.4 (P7 ST-DL to DT-DL)

@RESET_9999

First of all: Thanks for all your hard work!!
I'm converting the Dolby Vision demos from Dolby UHD Blu-Ray Demo Disc (March 2018) with your DoVi Scripts. I play them with Kodi on my Sony TV via USB, works like a charm.
I have a bug report and a request:
When I use MP4_muxer(p5/P8/P7) > dual-track (p7) > MPLS P7 bluray to DT-DL + EAC3 ... only the 1080p track has Dolby Vision.
And the request: Can you add the option to extract and mux the DD+ 7.1 tracks in MPLS P7 bluray to P8 and MKV P7 to P8?

Cheers,
Omni4

Hi, that is how dual-track dual-layer P7 DoVi works. The DV metadata/layer is stored in the 1080p stream and merged with the 2160p stream at playback.

DD+ 7.1 tracks are kind of rare, so I'm not sure I will ever add support for that.
Not ideal but you could just convert the bluray to P8, demux 7.1 audio with tsmuxer, and then build your P8 mp4 with 7.1 audio.

convert BD to P8 HEVC:
MODE.P7 ----> MODE.1 ----> Workflow.2

then build your P8 mp4 with 7.1 audio:
MODE.M4 ----> MODE.1 ----> Workflow.2
