instead of answering always the same question over and over, I made an excel sheet resuming pretty much everything that works or not.
If you want to add anything, let me know.

FYI: the tsMuxer corruption bug seems to be fixed in the latest nightly (f4fa419 / 2022-02-22-18-30-10).

I've done a couple of full movie remuxes with it and they both passed the test of being fully decoded by ffmpeg with no errors.

I can confirm for LG G1 at least the built in player falls back to HDR10 on profile 7.

The situation right now seems to be that there is no good solution to play all DV profiles (or at least 5 and 8) with lossless audio, except from original bluray discs. Since all the players that can do lossless audio have other issues.

Or are there others that will do the job?

I can't vouch for profile 5, but at least since latest firmware my Zidoo Z9x has shown excellent playback of DV profile 7 and 8 mkv with lossless audio. Admittedly it is not too long ago I started with profile 8 and I didn't create much of them.

@RESET_9999
I am curious about the Z9X unstable playback of profile 8 as mentioned in the spreadsheet. Can you name a specific title where the Zidoo shows the RPU issue? I want to have a look at this. See if I can answer some questions.

Shang Chi P5 imax web-dl converted to P8 and injected into HDR10 imax web-dl. RPU goes out of sync after 30 minutes... fine on shield , x700 and C8

Sony x800m2 is the way to go. support all profiles with lossless audio and is bug free.

Thank you, I'll have a search.

You didn't have this "P8 issue only on Z9X" with a self-ripped disc and conversion? If so, I'd like to hear what movie(s) you can recall.

I don't remember. I watched about 10 movies and it happened 2 times(Only remember Shang Chi) and then got rid of the device, could not trust it anymore.
