The EL can be played to confirm this.
What do you mean exactly? Thanks
if you play the EL, you can see that it's a blank grey image, therefore a MEL title.
Quietvoid is right. The LOTR are MEL with an unusually high bitrate
Cheers, didn't know this. And is the FEL coloured?

on a FEL movie, you can see the actual movie:

MEL / FEL

it's not unusual, there are quiet a few MEL titles with bitrates around 2MB... and bdinfo states FEL/MEL incorrectly, can't rely on it...

just look at the bitrate itself or the play back the EL itself...

Thank you, one last question: so what's the bloody point of using 0 padded MEL (~2 Mbps) instead of the smallest one (that I saw 64 Kbps)?
I mean there must be a reason for them... :)

What you say about my TV:
LG OLED55B6V
That Dolby Vision does not play without being in .mp4 "is false".

This file taken from a test website shows that my TV is capable of opening Dolby Vision, at least in .ts format

I attach the link:
https://uptobox.com/q0tk0wifzm5f

Returning to my question. Is there a command to merge Hevc1 and hevc2 from the "cmd" command prompt and give me a .mkv or .ts video file?

Thank you so much everyone.
Waiting for your reply.
I am very interested to know how this person created this .ts

Someone could explain.

I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks a lot.

Interesting, thanks! do you have a link to that bluray.com list?

The Hobbit movies are all below 100kbps though. And since Lawrence of Arabia is also a 2-disc movie, I wonder if it's related to the larger MEL.

Create the mp4 as per the instructions with ac3 or DTS audio then run it through tsmuxer?

It is perfect to convert the movie to .mkv with MakeMKV

But when I convert it to .ts with tsMuxeR I lose the Dolby Vision layer =(

What's the obsession with conversions to ts files? If you're playing it off your LG's internal player, then the mp4 method is the gold standard. TS files with merged tracks are not guaranteed to work with every movie.
