I purchased Ensemble Stars!! Cast Live Starry Symphony -the midnight sun- BD-BOX and downloaded the latest KeyDB. Interestingly, disc 2 rips fine, but disc 1 doesn’t.

Hey maelstrom, it seems that a monthly download limit has been exceeded for that file host so the dump files cannot be accessed. Please re-upload them to an alternative file host.

Hey mikepiko, unfortunately that disc dump is not usable as it is missing the VID value. Whenever you see this line in the MakeMKV log it means the disc dump is not going to be usable:

Shutdown your computer or do whatever else is required to power down your drive and try creating a new disc dump file.

I haven't yet looked too deeply at whether or not there's a Mac version of the self-keydb tool yet, but in the meantime I would like to add this bonus bluray disc from a Japanese rock band album (kein - delusional inflammation) if possible please! I have the BW-16D1HT drive.

Hey AnonJohn, unfortunately your disc dump file was unusable. Whenever you see this line in the MakeMKV log it means the dump file cannot be used to calculate the required keys:

Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive

...But fortunately your disc was added to the public keydb on November 14 2024. So follow the steps I linked in the first post and you will be able to decrypt your disc.

Hey vcaesar77, support for your variant of How to Train Your Dragon has been added to the public keydb. You were lucky that another variant with the same media key was already known to the keydb. In the future you can avoid this dependency on an existing title by creating disc dump files with an LG or LG rebrand (Buffalo/Asus) disc drive.
