Because it's fun

Want your MKV, @shawnc22?
And a balloon? And there’s cotton candy...

On the first post of the Makemkv 1.5.3 thread Mike gives a ffmpeg command line to convert back to MKV then run it through Makemkv.
Arh, i was looking in this thread and the 1.5.1 thread..... The blindness is strong with this oneDaMacFunkin wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:15 pmOn the first post of the Makemkv 1.5.3 thread Mike gives a ffmpeg command line to convert back to MKV then run it through Makemkv.
If you're playing on the Plex app, you need to be direct playing both video and audio. If TrueHD has to be transcoded, the video changes to direct streaming which does not trigger Dolby Vision.userr wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:45 pmCan anyone enlighten me why the following happens for me?
Sony AG9 Oled TV and Nvidia shield 2019
When playing profile7 mkv files from makemkv, that also contain TrueHD audio, i only get HDR
If i change audiotrack to normal ac3 track, i get dolby vision
Im using the TV builtin speakers to eliminate any compability issues with AVR etc.
Anyone can help?
Thank you, how do i make sure its direct playing and not "direct streaming"?quietvoid wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:53 pmIf you're playing on the Plex app, you need to be direct playing both video and audio. By connecting the Shield to a device that can handle TrueHD, so it has to be your AVR and not the TV. If your AVR cannot handle TrueHD, then unfortunately you're out of luck.userr wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 7:39 pmThank you, how do i make sure its direct playing and not "direct streaming"?quietvoid wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:53 pmIf you're playing on the Plex app, you need to be direct playing both video and audio. So i would need a capable AVR and use eARC from TV and it should work?shawnc22 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:04 pmBy connecting the Shield to a device that can handle TrueHD, so it has to be your AVR and not the TV. If your AVR cannot handle TrueHD, then unfortunately you're out of luck.
I really think I had this problem, is it because of all the branches?4knewbie wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 12:25 pmI’m trying to make a dual track mp4 file of watchmen with the old version of mp4muxer which worked fine for many movies (at least 20). The issue I’m having with Watchmen is that mp4muxer stops immediately without any error message, it juste creates a 0mb mp4 file and stops instantly.
Hi Yusesope, yusesope wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 2:20 pmI have no idea. Owners of other devices do not complain about this problem. When I have time and you are available maybe we could do some tests together to understand where the problem lies.DaMacFunkin wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 7:57 amHi Yusesope.
It would seem that MKV FEL converted to 8.1 with Beta 004 triggers Dolby Vision on the new Zidoo products. MKV FEL to 8.1 with Gamma doesn't trigger Dolby Vision on the new ZIdoo products.
Is there a reason for this, what is the difference?
Thank you.
But first I have to extend GAMMA support to Linux too, fix the creation of the mp4 DTDL files, add chapter support ...![]()
You need to have a bit of patience...![]()
