Is it still the case? Did you check the data dir location on Ubuntu? Any errors in log? This should work.ekpen49 wrote: I have makemkv for Windows and Ubuntu 17.10.
John Wick with version 1.10.9, failed to rip under Ubuntu, same with Expendables 3 uhd, and Now you see me uhd, but ripped under Windows.

I can confirm there is a problem with the Mac version (on my Mac anyway). I tired to rip 0x8C1197288A6A299A394FE48DD239320958D96E68 HUNTSMAN_2 using the 01/15/2018 version of keys_hashed.txt but I get:
However, when I try the same disc with the same keys_hashed.txt in Windows, it works fine.
Mike, please let me know what other information I can provide to help you find and fix the problem.

You did read that hashed keys work from version 1.10.9, right?BigPines wrote:I can confirm there is a problem with the Mac version (on my Mac anyway). Well that is embarrassing. Yes, I DID read that and I THOUGHT that was the version I was running on my Mac. Oops. After installing 1.10.9 on my Mac, it works just fine. THAT is what I was doing wrong.
Thank you for your help.

Re: Unable to Use keys_hashed.txt File. What Am I Doing Wron
I use a Mac. I just downloaded the file (Last edit: 16.01.2018) and am successfully ripping the US version of 4K UHD Deadpool.
I have 5 x other discs to rip when this finishes. So far, so good.
BTW - I'm using an LG WH16NS40 v1.02 drive. It seems to be working... I'll reply when finished.
UPDATE - the Deadpool rip worked, and the file played back ok using Kodi - WOOT!

Yes please. I tried ripping each uhd twice, then decided to try Windows. All three ripped ok.
I have not played them yet.
I sent you a few dumps last night.
My earlier dumps to you have John Wick, and the other two uhds.
Thanks.
George.
For Oppo Users 203/205 Model
Rip UHD to folder if you have the new Oppo 203/205 AND change the flag to AVCHD in folder. You can play the original movie. To defeat a Cinavia infected UHD with the Oppo/203/205 just make a UHD MKV then not detected.
This is thru the USB 3.0 port on the back of the Oppo's. Get yourself a 6TB HDD and enjoy. You can remove the Cinavia in UHD from the folder but the process will leave most clueless. So MKV Cinavia is bypassed. And NOOO the Oppo 203/205 doesn't play ISO....Jailbreak is junk.
Beats computer play... I don't know about other UHD players but if they accept AVCHD play and folder play then changing the flag in folder to AVCHD may work for you also. You can always change the flag back. It's only a byte.
The Oppo drive will not and never will play BDXL discs, So don't bother

Re: Unable to Use keys_hashed.txt File. What Am I Doing Wron
Just downloaded 1.10.10 on OS X, and installed the current key file in the . MakeMKV directory - using an LG BE16NU50 drive (firmware 1.01, as from factory)
When I put The Martian (extended edition) I get this:
MakeMKV v1.10.10 darwin(x64-release) started
Optical drive "BD-RE ASUS BW-12D1S-U E401d" opened in OS access mode.
Optical drive "BD-RE HL-DT-ST BD-RE BE16NU50 1.01d" opened in OS access mode.
Using direct disc access mode
Saved AACS dump file as /Users/xxxxxx/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v60_The_Martian_-_Extended_Edition_80F7.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
MakeMKV is registered, and setup appears to be correct...something obvious I'm missing?
Thanks

For comparison, I just installed under Windows, and using the same key hash, disc, and drive, I do not get the above error and it works.
Re: Unable to Use keys_hashed.txt File. What Am I Doing Wron
What directory? On macOS, did you confirm the MakeMKV data directory:thrang wrote:Just downloaded 1.10.10 on OS X, and installed the current key file in the . MakeMKV directory
Open MakeMKV -> MakeMKV Menu -> Preferences -> General -> MakeMKV data directory. THAT is where you must place the hash list file.

Sorry to be a bit off-topic, but...
I can't keep up with the relevant AVS owner's thread: was it stated by OPPO directly that they cannot or will not add support?Badnews wrote:The Oppo drive will not and never will play BDXL discs, So don't bother

Yes, the default .MakeMKV directory, which is what is the path in Make MKV. Bizarre....nicholfd wrote:What directory? On macOS, did you confirm the MakeMKV data directory:thrang wrote:Just downloaded 1.10.10 on OS X, and installed the current key file in the . MakeMKV directory
