Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi everyone, my father has a Sony x700U and I've tried to play some of the mp4 test files from the "Dolby_Vision_Stuff" google sheet. The one that works is "FEL TEST ST DL P7 CMV4.0 4000nits V4", and I can see the text. However, when I try to play some of the others, such as "Jurassic.Park.1993.BD NEW HDR12_ DV_Metadata_Levels_Comparison_CMv2.9_BL_FEL_Merged" I can't see any difference between the different screen shots. I tried the same file on my computer using Energy Media Player and I can clearly see the difference in the shots.
I'm playing the files off of USB stick, and I've tried to toggle Dolby Vision on and off via the menu of the X700U player.
This is the google sheet i've been referring to: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... ue&sd=true
I grabbed the files from the "screenshot comp" sheet, specifically, the "DV Comp" links in the "DoVi" column. Should I be seeing a difference on my player via usb?
If this is the wrong thread, my apologies! Please point me to the right direction if you know where this might be better received. Thank you!.
