This movie and the original simpsons movie on bluray are the only 2 movies to never actually spin up in my external player for makemkv. Will literally sit dead in the player for several seconds before ejecting.
Plays just fine in my LG UBK90. My Pioneer is on 1.01. Is there anything I can do for this drive to get it to read this one single movie?
Anyone elses copy of TMNT 2 4K by Arrow not playing in their Pioneer BDR-XS07UHD?

Have you tried gently cleaning the disc?

I own the same player and I am having the same issue as you on a brand new and flawless disc.

I had a hell of a time getting this disc (TMNT 2 specifically) to rip. The other two movies in that set went quickly and flawlessly.
At first I couldn't even get the disc to initialize in my Billy-bought BDR212 (makemkv had been open before I put the disc in.) So I threw it in my UB820 and it played fine. While I was doing that, I restarted my computer, then I let the disc initialize in windows first, and then opened it in makemkv. It repeatedly threw a scsi error while initializing. I don't remember the specific error was but it had to do with *write* media being invalid (an error type I'd never seen before, and I have had a couple of generally unreadable discs in the past...) but eventually (after 2-3 minutes) it somehow ... got through? ... and then the disc ripped cleanly as if nothing had happened, at full speed for the drive (4.0x).
Couldn't tell you what happened, but it made me pucker a little bit.
