Is ugoos still the only device to support Positive Lift(L2/L8 offset) and Level 5 Active area in TV-LED?
windows 10/11 also supports it

I have a copy of both Superman's digital release with Dolby Vision and an ISO of the movie but somehow without Dolby Vision, just HDR. It's a legit copy otherwise. Is there a way for me to merge the DV stream to the MKV of the disc? I can send both to anyone who can help.

I've seen the tutorial but since the film's yet to be released until next month, I can't verify the plot.

You've got the new superman uhd iso already? just submit it to makemkv and they will decrypt it and you will be able to plot it...

it should have DV though: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Superman ... ay/378494/

For people using DGDemux: when you demux a DV disc, do you retain or not retain the EOS/EOB NALUs? 95% of the time I replace with a cm4.0 RPU, but in some cases, I use the retail RPU. Any recommendation around what to do with EOS/EOB NALUs retain option? Thanks!

EDIT: Another question: Does anyone know what MakeMKV or MKVToolnix's behavior is in this regard? Do they retrain the EOS/EOB NALUs or are they removed from the merged streams?

I do not retain them, so I do not use "-keepeos" flag.

So, I've done all of this and the same outcome: no DV. Given the fact this movie has a Dolby grade for disc, should it be easier to make a hybrid? Or should I still check the brightness and frame delays?

Could you check the .m2ts file with BDInfo?

Dolby Vision 2

https://www.techpowerup.com/340580/dolb ... y-vision-2
Dolby Laboratories, Inc., a leader in immersive entertainment experiences, today announced Dolby Vision 2, a groundbreaking evolution of its industry-leading picture quality innovation. Hisense is the first TV brand to announce it will bring Dolby Vision 2 to its lineup of premium televisions, such as RGB-MiniLED TVs. This is complemented by the leading French media and entertainment company CANAL+, which has also announced its commitment to support Dolby Vision 2.

For over a decade, Dolby Vision has pushed picture quality forward as the gold standard for premium HDR. Dolby Vision 2 builds on this success and is designed specifically to meet the evolving opportunities of television experiences today, serving as one piece of Dolby's broader mission to advance picture quality across all entertainment and devices, from the biggest to smallest screens.
After reading the entire article, sounds like (from what I can discern so far) more of a beefed up DV IQ - two way tone mapping is (assumingly) talking about matching content to the screen traditionally, and then matching the screen to the environment via camera/light inputs etc. Besides the new things they talk about like auto black/white matching? and motion control!
